South African Airways claims new Heathrow terminal
The new Heathrow Terminal will be opening in 2014 and South African Airways will claim it as a home. Terminal 2 will house all the Star Alliance carriers, South African Airways being one of them.
“We are delighted with today’s announcement by Heathrow. For many years South African Airways has led the way by investing in new products and services that we offer our customers. We believe our move into what will effectively be Heathrow’s newest terminal, will offer our customers an unrivalled passenger experience upon arrival, on departure and also when connecting with our Star Alliance partners” commented Vuyisile Kona, SAA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer.
23 Star Alliance carriers will move to the new terminal. The terminal will offer many innovative features to significantly improve the traveller’s experience. The new Terminal 2 allows for minimum connecting time between various flights. South African Airways offers direct flights from South Africa to the United Kingdom.
