The Ballroom at The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town
This spectacularly beautiful venue can be divided into two separate private areas, each 150sqm. Undivided, the Ballroom at the Table Bay Hotel seats 200 guests for dinner. The Ballroom is equally appropriate for conferences, with its crystal chandeliers and beautiful decor, it can convert to cinema-style (with two screens) to accommodate 300 guests.
The Pavilion
The beautiful Victorian-style Pavilion (164sqm) at The Table Bay Hotel, Cape Town, is the most romantic and private of the venues at the Table Bay Hotel, and is ideally suited for dining and cocktails. The Pavillion is perfect for intimate occasions such as weddings, or for smaller business entertainment. The Pavilion is on the east side of the hotel, and is adjacent to the Table Bay's imposing Ballroom. It shelters behind the historic breakwater wall, an historic and strong feature of the hotel's northern facade.
The Boardroom
Adjacent to the Ballroom is the Boardroom (56sqm) with seating for 24 delegates schoolroom style. The Boardroom is equipped with the necessary conferencing equipment for small meetings and breakaway sessions.
The Pre Function Area
The Ballroom is flanked by a large Pre-Function area (250sqm) which can be used to accommodate up to 200 guests for cocktails. Weather permitting, the terrace leading from the pre-function area can accommodate 100 people.
The International Business Centre at the Table Bay Hotel
Located on the mezzanine level, the Business Centre (125sqm) offers extensive professional facilities, full secretarial services, Internet facilities, travel desk and car rental facility. HIGH TEA IS GREAT HERE...with the best selection of cakes and other sweets.
Not all rooms have good views, one should best request a room with ocean or harbour views when making the booking or at check in. We had a room with no nice views and the staff assisted us very well with moving to another one.
BEST LOCATION IN CAPE TOWN - this hotel is on the water at the harbour and we were told that sometimes the big cruise liners are right in front of it. The shopping centre where my wife always wanted to go is linked to the Table Bay Hotel.
Highly recommended, five star hotel.
