Introducing Port Edward
The village of Port Edward on the Umtamvuna River is the southernmost resort in KwaZula-Natal, South Africa. Port Edward is overlooked by Tragedy Hill, the spot where Henry Fynn and his followers battled and lost against Zulu warriers. This South African village is named after the Prince of Wales. It has a long-established coffee growing region with the first plantings in 1866. The town is popular for swimming, boating and fishing and the estuary is ideal for ski-boats, hiking etc.
