Introducing Central Namibia

Windhoek, Namibia’s capital city, is situated in the country’s central highlands, with the Auas Mountains to the southeast, the Eros Mountains to the northeast and the hills of the Khomas Hochland rolling away to the west. 

Nestling in the geographical centre of Namibia, the city and surrounding suburbs are spread out over a series of picturesque valleys, which are set at the crossroads of all Namibia’s major road and rail routes. Although relatively small and sleepy for a capital city by international standards, Windhoek remains the political, judicial, economic and cultural centre of the country.
