Sani Valley Nature Lodges

The Lakeside Lodges at Sani Valley offers an elegantly decorated double story stand-alone units which are serviced daily. With a magnificent lake and Southern Drakensberg mountain view from the living area, bedroom and bathroom. Each Lakeside lodge is ideal for a couple; however, it does have a double stack bed in a small nook located behind the main bedroom suitable for two children. Heated blankets are provided, with each unit boasting a private jacuzzi overlooking the lake offering a real luxurious feel and the feeling of outside living, a TV with DStv & DVD Player in the lounge and bedroom. The fully equipped kitchen with all modern fixtures & fittings, a fireplace and braai facilities will enable you to feel at home. There is undercover parking space.  Ideal for couples, small families and groups. The jacuzzi or taking a bath overlooking the lake is sure to take your breath away!

Early Mist Lodges are built on the lakeside with beautiful views overlooking the rocks of the Southern Drakensberg. The front deck, overlooking the water offers an open-plan kitchen, lounge area and a private veranda with jacuzzi and braai facilities, all overlooking the lake and surrounding mountains. They each have a stunning feature bedroom with a Bay-Window. The bathrooms contain a heated towel rail, adding to the feeling of luxury. Each of the lodges are serviced daily and include a private jacuzzi built into the deck, a fully equipped kitchen with all modern fixtures and fittings and a TV in the bedroom with DStv & DVD and a digital coded safe. The unit can be warmed with a Jet Master “Morso” fireplace. One main double bedroom and a second bedroom with two single beds with heated blankets provided for those colder evenings. Ideal for couples, small families and groups. The views of the peaceful mountains and lake stretching endlessly in front will undoubtedly relax your soul!

The Sunset Lodges contain three beautifully decorated semi-detached one bedroom units. Each en-suite unit, serviced daily, has stunning views of the lake and Drakensberg mountains from lounge, bedroom and private deck areas. Watch the fantastic sunsets, from your private patio with game wandering around your deck from early morning to late at night and the sounds of frogs in chorus singing out from the lake at night, accompanied by crickets and owl on occasion. 

There are two accommodation units downstairs and one unit upstairs each with glass surrounds to enhance the views. Each chalet has an undercover parking space provided. Babies or young children are not allowed in these units due to the units being semi-detached, making them much more suitable for couples and adult groups. Each unit has a separate lounge and dining area with a TV, DStv with DVD player, heated blankets, a log fireplace and a braai facility, modern open plan kitchen with all appliances provided. The bathrooms have a double vanity space, bath, separate shower and overhead heating as well as heated towel rails. 

Bushman Lodge is a large two bedroom en-suite lodge with separate shower & bath, overhead heating in bathrooms as well as heated towel rails exquisitely decorated in African themes with original African artefacts and embroideries. Bushman Lodge can also accommodate two extra people on request on sleeper couches. It is ideal for families and groups with braai facilities, fully equipped kitchen with all modern fixtures & fittings, a private jetty onto the water (shared with Rainbow Lodge). There is a DStv & DVD player in the lounge and a digital coded safe. You can be warmed by the Gas Jetmaster fireplace in the lounge and heated blankets are provided or cooled in by the ceiling fans in the summer.

The magnificent elevated views of the lake and Drakensberg mountains enhanced by the surrounding glass in living area & main bedroom to the enhance views, including the balancing rocks, (which are well known along the Sani Pass for their distinct look). An Undercover parking space is provided.

Rainbow Lodge is the largest chalet in Sani Valley. It has three luxurious en-suite bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to six people and can accommodate an additional two (on mattresses if required). The deck has elevated views of the lake and mountain. The surrounding glass in the lounge area & main bedroom is designed to enhance the fantastic views.

Two of the bedrooms have an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath, and the other bedroom has a shower with heated towel rails provided.

Each room has heated blankets provided for your comfort.

The fully equipped kitchen with all modern fixtures and fittings, and outside braai facilities. The lounge has DSTV and a DVD player, and be warm and cosy using the Gas Jetmaster fireplace.  The Lodge has a digital coded safe for extra peace of mind. 

The private jetty on to water (shared with Bushman). There is an undercover parking space provided.
