Terroir Restaurant

The Terroir Restaurant is a gourmet dining venue set under historic oak trees with views of the golf course, gardens and vineyards. Terrior is refined yet still maintains a relaxed atmosphere with a chalkboard menu. Deceptively simple dishes are prepared using locally grown fresh produce. An emphasis is placed on pairing the delicious food to wines produced at vineyard.

Kleine Zalze Restaurant

The Restaurant is set alongside a lush fairway of the Golf Course. The restaurant is open to the public and here guests can enjoy meals on the sun-dappled wooden terrace.

Golf

The name ‘De Zalze’ originates from the early wine farmers who produced wines on the three adjoining farms, namely Kleine Zalze, Groote Zalze and De Vleie, in the Cape Winelands region of South Africa. The historical buildings on the De Zalze Winelands Golf Estate date back to 1837.

The course offers a fine combination of parkland holes, its main features being the water features on several of the holes. The oak-lined Blaauwklippen River winds its way through the golf estate and comes into play at various intervals. This golf course is also the first golf course in the world to be recognized for adherence to Fair Trade principles and criteria and has been Fair Trade certified.
