Golf

The Gary Player Country Club and Golf Course

This golf course overlooks the magnificent Gary Player Golf Course. This world renowned course was designed by Gary Player, and is the home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge, an annual golf tournament held at the resort.

The Lost City Golf Country Club and Golf Course

This state-of-the-art clubhouse is a short walk from The Palace of the Lost City. The Lost City Golf Course was also designed by famed South African golfing figure, Gary Player. This spectacular par-72 course is a cart course, features a water hazard of 20 live Nile crocodiles on the 13th hole and offers facilities such as a driving range, and golf Pro Shop. 

Safari & Wildlife

Adjoining the Resort lies the magnificent malaria free, Big Five Pilanesberg National Park. Guided day game drives, night game drives, walking safaris as well as Elephant Back Safaris and Hot Air Balloon Safaris can be enjoyed here.

Conference Venues at the Cascades Hotel

The Cascades Hotel

1. 2nd Floor Boardroom = can accommodate up to 8 people
2. 4th Floor Boardroom = can accommodate up to 20 people but only seats 10 people.

The Valley of the Waves and Entertainment Center

1. Royal Observatory Deck = can accommodate up to 320 people and 550 people for a cocktail setup.
2. Amphitheatre = can accommodate up to 200 people.
3. Valley of Waves = can accommodate up to 1000 people. A separate, private beach area can accommodate up to 100 people.
4. Monkey Spring Plaza = venue ideal for pre-dinner drinks. Groups can easily be provided here before making their way to their dinner destination.
5. Hall of Treasures = can hold a maximum of 25 stands of 3X2 meters which can also be used as a cocktail, lunch and dinner venue.

Superbowl

1. Situated in the heart of the entertainment center and has 12 doors leading to the venue. Sitting capacity of 6000 for a concert.
2. The venue has an octagon shaped arena with a portable end stage constructed of wood and built in modules measuring 2mx1mx1.5m high.
3. The total stage width is 33 meters and a height of 8 meters. The depth of the front of apron to the back of stage is 14 meters.
4. The super bowl has a steel grid above the stage. The house curtain is a heavy velour and is electronically operated by a control motor. Access to the stage and dressing room is from the back of the house. The auditorium can be carpeted.

The Pilansberg Room = can be divided into 1/3 and 2/3 only.

The Royal Ballroom = can be split into 1/3 and 2/3 only.

Breakaway Rooms

There are 13 breakaways rooms at this Center which are situated adjoining the pre function area of the Pilansberg Room, door 8 and door 11 of the Superbowl.
