The Mount Nelson caters for comfort, with each of the 75 suites and 145 bedrooms individually furnished and provided with fully appointed private bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. In addition, each is equipped with television, international touch-dial telephones, voice mail and a safe. Refrigerators and minibars are provided in all rooms except Single Rooms. A local daily newspaper, robes, hairdryers and bottled water are also included. A private fax line is available on request in some rooms.

A unique feature of the Mount Nelson Hotel are four new "wings" of luxurious accommodation, all set in private gardens and planted with lavender and iceberg roses. These wings - Taunton House, Green Park, Helmsley and Hof Villa - are reached from the main hotel via the leafy Palm Avenue. Guests staying in them enjoy unrivalled serenity and seclusion, and are, of course, entitled to use all the hotel's facilities, including the two swimming pools, with their superb Table Mountain backdrop.
