- Take the R21 towards the OR. Tambo International Airport
- At the airport, the road splits - keep to the left lane and follow the R21 East Rand/Boksburg lane

- Take the N3 towards Germiston. At Giloolly’s interchange, take the R24 towards OR. Tambo International Airport
- At the airport, the road splits - keep to the left lane and follow the R21 East Rand/Boksburg lane
- Follow the road until you reach Griffiths Road off-ramp, turn left at the top of the bridge
- At the T-junction, turn left into Jones Road
- Entrance to Emperors Palace is on your left
Airport Shuttle service from OR Tambo International Johannesburg Airport
The complimentary Airport Shuttle to the Emperors Palace runs every 20 minutes from 06h00 in the morning till 11h00pm/ 23h00 at night. After 11h00pm/23h00 the Airport Shuttle is only available on request by pre-bookings. The Airport Shuttle is free of charge. The Shuttle Parking is located opposite the International Arrivals on the Western side of the InterContinental Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport Hotel.
Early Shuttle bookings can be done at the reception during check in times, the morning Shuttle runs every thirty minutes from 04h00am and 04h30am till 06h00am in the morning then goes back to the twenty minutes interval.
