The Camps Bay Retreat Private Nature Reserve in Cape Town, Western Cape, which features the historical 1929 Earl's Dyke Manor and the modern Deck House is nestled between the mountain ranges of Table Mountain, Lions Head with Signal Hill and the Twelve Apostles in the exclusive Cape Town suburb of Camps Bay.

The Earl's Dyke Manor was bought by Mr Thomas Earl Skaife from the Cape Marine Suburbs in the year 1911. This private estate in Camps Bay was then sold in 1920 to a gentlemen by the name of Friedrich Wilhelm Knacke. The original house on the Camps Bay estate was demolished in 1929 when the present manor house, which is designed by William Grant, was built.
