The magnificent Azura Quilalea Private Island is one of the Southernmost islands in the pristine Quirimbas Archipelago. Located 31 nautical miles North of Pemba in Mozambique, Southern Africa. 15 km northeast of Vilanculos, is the nearest town and site of the international airport.

The island is approximately 86 acres in size, and apart from Azura Island, it is entirely uninhabited, making for an excellent beach getaway destination. The Island is covered in indigenous vegetation, with old baobab groves, flora and fauna making this a real nature lover's paradise.

One can find four beaches on this tropical island; the villas are spread along with two of them. The remote turtle beach is home to dozens of nesting turtles which guests are often lucky enough to see.

The Hotel was constructed entirely by hand by the local community and features only 14 villas, each of which provides its infinity pool. The hand-built villas blend modern chic with all that is traditional in Mozambique.

The creature comforts you would expect from a luxury boutique resort are there, set off by locally sourced wooden beams and traditional artwork beneath a thatched roof. The Azura restaurant serves both continental and full English breakfast, and lunch can be provided in a picnic-style if guests are out enjoying an activity.
