Bredasdorp is only 15 minutes away and offers an excellent golf course, squash and tennis courts and a world famous shipwreck museum. De Mond Nature Reserve is a pristine, unspoilt river mouth less than 20 minutes drive away. De Hoop Nature Reserve is nearby and with all its wildlife, is definitely worth a visit. The magnificent Cape Agulhas National Park is an ideal day trip. It is here where one should visit the lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Africa.

The shortest walk is a two minute stroll to the harbour where visitors can watch the fishing boats come in. Next to the harbour one will find the historical fishing village of Kassiesbaai, which welcomes strollers and photographers.
A must at low tide is the walk to the Waenhuiskrans caves. The walk is 1,5 kms along the road and cliff tops and a small walk down the dunes. The cave is most spectacular.
Longer walks take guests to Struis Point, Galjoengat and to the De Mond Nature Reserve. This is a most beautiful walk for the moderately fit.
