Onrus is located approximately 110km (around 70 miles) outside of Cape Town, with several different route options to take that offer scenic views of the vicinity.
The Route going through the Mountains:
Leaving the airport, take the N2 from Borcherds Quarry Road onto Settlers Way -the N2. Carry on along the N2 into Somerset West and carry on through the area and over 'Sir Lowry’s Pass' until you reach the turnoff to the R43. Take this turnoff until you see the sign to your right to Onrus, taking this turn off and then an immediate right into Main Road (in front of the small shopping centre). Turn right at Douglas Road and right into De Villiers Street.
The Route going along the Coastline:
Although this is a little longer in journey time and a more winding route, the scenery is stunning, giving drivers beautiful views of the ocean and worth stopping along for photographic opportunities. Leaving from the airport get onto the N2 (Settlers Way) and follow this through until the turnoff onto the R44 at the last traffic intersection and follow the beautiful route until the T-junction. Turn right onto the R43 and drive until you take the turnoff to your right into Onrus, taking this turn off and then the immediate right into Main Road (in front of the small shopping centre). Turn right into Douglas Road and Right into De Villiers Street.
