Walking

A 54-hectare reserve on the Estate is a conservation area which is filled with the local flora & fauna. Pathways & wooden decks are spread out through the reserve to allow guest to explore the natural surroundings. 

Bird watching

The 55-hectare reserve within the Zimbali estate has been demarcated as conservation areas providing a refuge to the rich variety of local flora & fauna. Zimbali is home to several natural spring water lakes which create a beautiful habitat for the 87 species of bird, hosts of butterflies and a wide variety of indigenous plant life.

Tennis

Guests staying at the lodge have access to the 4 on- site tennis courts.

Golf

The coastal area of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa is home to some of the best golf courses in the country. The Zimbali Golf Course is located a mere 56 kilometres from the number one golf course in South Africa, namely the Durban Country Club. Other golf courses in this region include Prince's Grant, Umhlali Country Club, Royal Durban Golf Club, and Mount Edgecombe. The estate is a golfer's paradise where the golfer can test their abilities on some of the best golf courses in Kwa Zulu Natal. A Tom Weiskopf has created a golf course which is not only a challenging course but also beautiful course which blends into its setting.

The Willow Stream Health & Beauty Spa is at the resort. The spa is open 08:15 am – 08:15 pm daily. 

Gym

The high-tech, fully equipped gym is located at the Fairmont Zimbali Resort and is open from 06:15 am – 08:10 pm daily.

Conference Catering

The Lodge offers outdoor catering which takes place on the Terrace or indoor formal dining in the Restaurant. The Country Club caters for 75 inside the restaurant for dinner and if the venue is extended out onto the veranda 95 people can attend and if for cocktails, then up to 120 people are welcome to join.
