  • Aquavit means "Water of Life" and the Aquavit Guest House in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, is built with the environment in mind. Solar panels heat the hot water; grey water is collected in the gardens and to enrich the soil naturally recycled food waste is added. LED lighting and mini fluorescents are used throughout the house.

The Guest House features glass, stainless steel and stone construction. Each guest room provides either a balcony or a poolside patio from where beautiful panoramic views of the mountains, lagoon and sea can be enjoyed.

The luxury room is also the honeymoon suite. This gorgeous room features a king sized canopy bed with pure cotton duvet and luxurious sheeting. A Select Comfort mattress allows guests to adjust the comfort preference with a remote control. Over sized closets can be found in the dressing room while brandy, chocolates and orchids are at the bedside.
