TD Hotels

With exclusive and centrally located hotels in large cities, business centres and popular tourism destinations (5 in Portugal, 2 in Mozambique and 3 in Angola), the TD Hotels Group has been expanding through time.  From its first hotel in 1974 which is located in the Algarve, the TD Hotel Group expanded to the Alentejo coast, followed by central Portugal, then internationally with the construction of hotels in Luanda (Angola), Beira and Maputo (in Mozambique).  Brazil will be the next location.

Due to an emphasis on versatility, TD Hotels have been an attractive option in the corporate market, in addition to the TD Hotels aimed more specifically for leisure purposes.  This strategic positioning has allowed TD Hotels to meet the local needs and explore different types of business.

Besides being involved in the hospitality industry, Teixeira Duarte Hotelaria has opened fitness businesses with its Health Clubs (Lagoas Park, Torres Vedras, in Faro and Amadora) and some restaurants in Portugal and Angola – namely ‘Pinto’s’ Restaurant and ‘Nilo’ bakery in Angola.

Established in 1921 and publicly listed in 1998, Teixeira Duarte is now one of the largest economic groups in business nationally.  Currently in 16 countries, Teixeira Duarte operates in construction, the cement and concrete industry, real estate, hotel management, distribution, energy,  and the vehicle industry besides its various financial strategies, such as the ‘Banco Comercial Português, S.A.,’ of which it is the founding member and second largest shareholder at approximately 7%.
