Tubing Magoebaskloof Overview

Tubing Magoebaskloof, gecko-tubing trip starts deep in the gorge at the beginning of the Groot Letaba River in South Africa Limpopo Province.

This adventure takes you through tranquil crystal clear waters with breathtaking views as well as through some roaring white water rapids.

Situated near Haenertsburg, between Polokwane and Tzaneen on the R528 (George's Valley), the adventure centre is an ideal stopover en-route to the Kruger Park or for a family holiday, a corporate team-building getaway or just a day out. This particular region of South Africa lies at the foot of the northern tip of the Drakensberg mountain range. The dramatic landscapes, afro-montane forests and beautiful grasslands make for popular hiking and outdoors area.

Only three and a half hours from Gauteng and an hour and a half from the Kruger Park make this an ideal base from where to explore and experience the many attractions of the northern part of Limpopo. It is a magical place with birding, hiking and colourful and striking gardens to visit, not only during Spring but also during the warm and sunny autumn months.

Haenertsburg lies between Polokwane and Tzaneen on the enchanting misty Limpopo escarpment. Turn off the R71 60km from Polokwane and turn into the village which nestles under the granite massif of the Iron Crown Mountain, which is part of the Wolkberg range in the northern Drakensberg. Here you will find a little piece of heaven.
