★ ★ ★ ★ ★

The Palmiet Valley Estate Hotel Paarl is an exclusive country house hotel that has a history dating back to 1691.

Palmiet Hotel started at the time when some of the original European settlers and wine growers arrived in the Cape. The 94-acre estate is host to exotic fruit trees and endless grapevines of noble white grape varieties, such as Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc.

The Paarl homestead is in the stunning Cape Dutch style with accommodation in the two most famous buildings. The large garden area is surrounded by ancient oak trees, providing privacy and harmony for the perfect holiday.

The Palmiet Hotel is very convenient to reach by all guests as it is approximately 62 Km from Cape Town International Airport and Cape Town city centre. Also, Paarl is the nearest town being just five minutes away by car and guests has the option to follow the wine route to visit Franschhoek or Stellenbosch. The stunning peninsula beaches are mere 30-minute drives away from the Palmiet Valley Estate.

Each room has an individual colour scheme and character with a separate luxury bathroom, most featuring a freestanding bathtub. Each room or suite is fitted with the convenience of a CD player, most rooms with air conditioning and climate control. A complimentary carafe of old sherry and a selection of fresh fruit welcome you on arrival. Also, each room has a balcony or terrace.

Weather permitting, a relaxed breakfast is served outside, under the canopy of the ancient oak and jacaranda trees, or on the terrace overlooking the fragrant herb garden.
