The Old Oak Manor at Cafe Felix Restaurant creates an ideal combination for visitors to the area. The retreat lies in an old farmhouse, which was built around 1860 and which is known as one of the oldest houses in Riebeek Kasteel, Western Cape.
The Oak manor is decorated with a "lived-in" French-style interior and offers guests a comfortable and relaxing home away from home. The guest house's bedrooms open onto a small dining room with tea and coffee making facilities, an honesty bar and a wine fridge. A cosy lounge is available for all guests to enjoy while a wood-burning stove provides heat for the cold winter days.
Old Oak accommodation is offered in four en-suite bedrooms in the guest house, a spacious loft above the restaurant, and a little garden cottage. The four bedrooms at the Hotel are named after the owners' cats. The two bigger rooms are located at the back and lead out onto the swimming pool. These large bedrooms provide a double bed and bathroom with a Victorian bath and shower.
The other two rooms are located on the side and front and feature double beds as well as en-suite bathrooms with showers. The loft can be found above the restaurant and offers a lounge, bedroom, en-suite bathroom and a double and two day beds. Also, there is; DSTV, tea and coffee facilities, and a bar.
The garden cottage at the Guest House offers a simple main room with one double and one single bed as well as an en-suite bathroom with shower and tea and coffee making facilities.
The restaurant is named after the owners' cheeky black cat and offers French-Italian inspired country cuisine made with fresh, local produce. This popular dining venue is also favoured for weddings, functions and birthdays.
