The Arniston Spa Hotel is 205 km from Cape Town, and it should take you about 2 & a half hours to drive. It is a very scenic drive as you travel through the Overberg making the hotel's unique location makes it the ideal for a weekend getaway or as a stop on the way to the Garden Route.

The Arniston welcomes guests with picturesque views of the unspoilt Indian Ocean and many beaches. The hotel staff provides exceptional service with friendly and welcoming smiles. In the fishing village, surrounded sandy beaches and whitewashed fishing cottages. The setting is that of Greek fishing village on the edge of the Mediterranean. 

Preserved nature reserves surround the town of Arniston, and in Winter the sea in front of the Arniston hotel becomes the playground of the Southern Right Whale. The hotel has uninterrupted sea views and is sixty meters from the beach.

Being a fishing village fresh fish from days catch is always on the menu. The menu blends traditional South African cuisine with an international twist. The food is complemented by a wide selection of wines from Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. The breakfast buffet is a full English breakfast, which ensures you get the day off to a great start. There is a large bar area which provides a big-screen television and two large aquariums inhabited by local sea fish. Don't fail to notice that the bar top is also a living fish tank!

There is an in-house Spa facility operated by the Ginko Spa & Wellness Group, which offers guests a vast selection of incredible spa treatments and services. The amenities include a Turkish steam chamber: a Rasul; as well as two saunas, procedures (including a twin treatment room) and a calming tranquillity lounge to relax completely.

A familiar sight during mating season is whales playing in the sheltered bay. Guests are invited to relax by the sea or swim, fish or snorkel at one of the most pristine beaches. There are many hikes on endless shores and in the dunes. There is an abundance of nature and bird-watching. From July to November, the whales visit delighting visitors with excellent whale watching in the Overberg. Guests can also explore the Bredasdorp, which is only 16 minutes away and the De Mond Nature Reserve which is less than 22 minutes drive away.
