Don't miss out to stay in Hermanus on your way from Cape Town to the Garden Route or the other way round. We stayed at Whale Rock for one night, which was perfect for us to explore this unique whale fishing village. Although it was not whale season yet, it is from August to November, we were lucky enough to spot a whale.

The staff at the Whale Rock Lodge was very friendly and curteous, nice place for a stopover.
