Travessia Eco Beach Lodge in Mozambique offers guests a wonderful barefoot-luxury beach experience. The Travessia Lodge is easily accessible being only a one and a half hours drive away from the airport of Inhambane (Mozambique) and six kilometres of sand track away from the main road.

Guests may enjoy a walk on the endless beach, take a refreshing swim in the rim flow swimming pool and relax in the shade of the magnificent palm grove.  With different activities on offer and providing facilitates to enjoy comfort, Travessia is an ideal holiday destination for  families, individual travellers and couples alike.

The Lodge

Built among the dunes along the beach, the lodge is beautifully set between bush and palm trees at a location where privacy and seaviews are maximized.   The rooms are connected with the main areas of the lodge by wooden walkways on which the reception area and restaurant, with a lounge, bar and spacious deck, overlooking the palm grove and the sea can be reached.  Entirely solar powered, the lodge ensures a light environmental footprint.

The Restaurant

Inspired by the seasons and the availability of fresh produce on the local markets and shops, a variety of delicious meals are on offer for guests which include fresh fish and crayfish.  Mango, pawpaw and avocado are seasonal, coconuts however are available all year round at Travessia.


The Beachbar and Pool

The beach bar and pool deck offers loungers where guests may enjoy 360 degree views over the endless coastline.  Afternoon braais / barbeques on the pool deck make for a special occasion during a stay.   The bar offers local beers, soft drinks, a selection of South African wines and spirits, and everything needed for the unforgettable sundowners.

Casita Deluxe

All rooms with sweeping sea views, all beds with mosquito nets, open plan bathroom, separate toilet, outdoor shower, private deck with hammock;
Casitas can be set up as 1 x King size bed or Twin with 2 x Single beds.
Rooms are spacious and can accommodate one extra bed or baby cot. Maximum occupancy: 3 pax.

Family Suite
Sweeping sea views, King bed and two Single beds in open plan but visually separated sleeping areas, beds with mosquito nets, open plan bathroom, separate toilet, outdoor shower, private deck with hammock;
Intended and priced for families with children under 12 years, who are too young to share their own room. Families with older children may be accommodated in which case a surcharge per child > 12yrs applies.
Can accommodate one extra bed or baby cot. Maximum occupancy: 5 pax.
