The luxurious two-night-three-days Rovos Rail train journey to Victoria Falls begins with the departure from Rovos Rail’s gracious station in Capital Park Pretoria, South Africa.

This unique journey departs in the morning and slowly meanders westwards through Mafikeng into Botswana and then north towards Mahalapye, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn just after Gaborone.

The journey has passed through the dry reaches of Botswana, we arrive at Plumtree in the late afternoon for border formalities with Zimbabwe. We continue in a north-westerly direction passing Bulawayo heading towards Thompson’s Junction and Hwange Game Reserve.

Journeys end at Victoria Falls on the mighty Zambezi River. Please note that depending upon railways capacity this trip could be routed northwards through Beitbridge and Zimbabwe.

• 10h00 Depart Victoria Falls Station.
• 13h00 Lunch is served in the Rovos Rail dining car/s.
• 19h30 Dinner is served in the Rovos Rail dining car/s.

MONDAY

• 7h00 Breakfast served in the dining car.
• 13h00 Lunch is served in the dining car.
• 19h30 Dinner is served as the train heads towards Lobatse.
• 23h00 Arrive at Mafikeng for border formalities.

TUESDAY

• 5h00 The Rovos train departs Mafikeng.
• 7h00 Breakfast served in the Rovos Rail dining cars.
• 13h00 Lunch is served in the dining car.
• 17h00 Arrive at Capital Park Station in Pretoria where the Rovos Rail journey ends.
