Oude Werf Hotel

The Oude Werf Hotel is situated in the heart of Stellenbosch, on Church Street, in the Cape Winelands of South Africa. Established in 1802, the Oude Werf Hotel is South Africa’s oldest and most historic hotel, famed for centuries for fine-dining and luxurious accommodation. In the centre of the Cape Winelands, the premier wine region of South Africa with a multitude of beautiful wine-farms calling to be visited, this boutique hotel is positioned in the historical core of the university town of Stellenbosch.

It lies within 45km from Cape Town, and 20km from the ocean and is surrounded by picturesque mountains. The hotel is positioned on the site of South Africa’s first church built in 1687. Later fires destroyed the first two buildings resulting in the Oude Werf Hotel being built. The location is perfect for strolls around the quaint town, where you can walk to several boutique shops, museums, art galleries, cafés and chocolate shops designed to suit everyone's taste buds.

Relax in tree sheltered yard, chill out in the coffee-lounge or pamper yourself with in-room massages whilst enjoying room service. The period-inspired architecture blends with contemporary South African art and culture, as ornate furniture from bygone eras is carefully fused with modern touches throughout the hotel.
