De Denne Country Guest House Oudtshoorn lies beautifully along the Kandelaars river, which originates from the Outeniqua mountain range.

The main house on De Denne Farm was built in 1907 and has a rich history. It offers a Victorian-style house with Oregon pine floors and ceilings.

The Guesthouse offers a view that overlooks the Olifants river valley and the majestic Swartberg Mountain Range. There are several buildings around the main house which has been renovated to make a part of Country Guest House today.

Many of the rooms were used in the daily farm work. The dam on the farm was built in the early sixties. For bird lovers, this is an absolute paradise as many bird species are found to gather there.

The Oudtshoorn accommodation is made up of one Standard Room (The Guinea Fowl Room), four Garden Suites, five Family Suites and five Deluxe Suites. Each room has an incredible view of the majestic mountains, luscious garden and vast farmlands. Each room has unique décor, and they have personalised touches, which offer you modern comforts and cater to all of your needs.

The communal lounge in the main house has a warm and comfortable setting, which welcomes guests to relax while playing a game of cards while reading a good book. The luxurious leather couches and the fireplace complement cold winter evenings. Available facilities include a glass of complimentary local port to enjoy.

Louise Keller, a family member, staying on the property, runs the restaurant. She watched as her grandma cooked and decorated cakes as a young girl and grew to love the art of food. The staff in the kitchen are all local and are trained thoroughly, as their delicious food proves it. The restaurant serves many varieties of food, which includes its unique, signature barbeque ostrich dish.

The menu has an exclusive selection of wine that compliments every dish on its menu. The fresh vegetables and herbs from their garden add an organic touch to the list, which served in the bowls. Make dinner experience with a sunset in view and a glass of wine and entice your taste buds with Ma Belle’s beautiful food and finish off with something sweet under the starry skies.
