The 4-star Bushman Sands Golf Lodge and Estate located in Alicedale, Eastern Cape of South Africa, is packed with History surrounding the Victorian era as this renowned for its Victorian railway. 

As well as keeping its heritage, this property does also offer guests the modern-day facilities which are guaranteed to provide enjoyment and relaxation.

Light meals are available from the Lodges’ Clubhouse Pub-restaurant. The Lodge and Estate operate as a Golf Lodge offering Pub Lunches in the Bunkers Pub Restaurant.

The spa offers various massage therapies; beauty treatments and the use of the onsite gymnasium, which is also complimentary for hotel residents. The resort provides two treatment rooms and a hydrotherapy area. The hydrotherapy area at the Spa features a jacuzzi and a chill pool.

The Golf Course has 18 holes, and we developed by the South African golfing legend, Gar Player. The course is set out on the banks of the Bushmans and New Years River, which is similar to the early “links” courses in Scotland with pot bunkers. Its exclusive features include; playing the first stroke over the active railway line, a double green which consists of the 2nd and 5th holes, crossing the river. 

The golf course was rated 80th in the Golf Digest Top 110 courses in Southern Africa in 2008. This is an improvement of 7 places from 2007. With the constant efforts and attention being put in by the course maintenance staff the course will continue to improve in the rankings. An ultimate goal is a place in the top 50.
