Walkersons Country House is situated only 2,5 hours from Johannesburg International Airport, en route to the Kruger National Park, on the outskirts of the trout-fishing village of Dullstroom. The main lodge exudes atmosphere and warmth. All bedrooms are very private with lake views and afford the guest every comfort. Fireside armchairs, a well stocked private mini bar and television are standard to every room. Excellent cuisine and handpicked wines are a house specialty and attentive staff compliments the fine dining.
Indulge in gentle country pursuits, Walkersons Country House offers beautiful forest and river walks, as well as walking trails into the nature reserve where indigenous game abides in a mountain wilderness renowned for its birdlife and prolific flowers. All equipment is provided for the fly fisherman, with the chance of fly-fishing for rainbow trout in several kilometres of Private River or one of the many lakes. Walkersons boasts excellent conference facilities and a charming 30-seat wedding chapel. The Country House has been specifically devised as a personal collection of the finest experiences that will never be forgotten. Group sizes may vary from 10 to 150 with accommodation ranging from ultimate luxury and elegance to farm stays with an informal country feel.

Accommodation
Lakeside Suites: suites under thatch with armchairs facing open log fireplaces. All with extra-length king-size beds and private writing desk, TV and telephone. Full bathroom and separate shower, heater and heated towel rail. A special feature is the fully equipped drinks cabinet in every room. All rooms have private patios and are lake facing.
Manor Suite: fully appointed with all the features of our Lakeside suites but more spacious, with an additional bedroom and bathroom adjoining for extra family members.
Highland Suite: the premier suite features a private study, separate lounge, spacious bathroom, large bedroom and adjoining dressing-room. All to the highest standard with privacy and views.
Stable Suite: situated over the elegant Stable Complex, some 200 metres way from the main lodge, with beautiful views from the balcony down the valley into the Lowveld. Large bedroom with king-size extra-length double bed and beautifully furnished with couches. Full large bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and vanity. Satellite TV but no fireplace or telephone. Cellphone reception available.
Recreation at Walkersons Country House in Dullstroom, Mpumalanga:
The Walkersons lodge offers a full selection of fly-fishing tackle and accessories to guests at a nominal charge. Special fly tying and instruction can be arranged at short notice. Guides are at hand to escort you around the Walkersons waters. We encourage conservation and the return of landed fish. A normal charge will be made for fish killed.
Experience spectacular views, at least 12 species of indigenous game, prolific bird and flower interests, whilst walking through the reserve's trails. Game walks from the lodge are also offered.
