Introducing Hazyview

The quaint town of Hazyview in Mpumalanga, South Africa, is a favourite overnight destination for visitors to the Kruger National Park due to its close proximity.  The closest gates to the Kruger National Park from Hazyview are the Paul Kruger Gate and the Phabeni Gate.

Situated approximately 420 km from Johannesburg, Hazyview is within easy reach from South Africa's major city, the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (KMIA) is not far away from Hazyview.  Hazyview received its name from the summer haze which covers the low bushland.  It was established in 1959 when the post office was built.

Its surrounding areas are characterized by many banana plantations which favor this climate.  The town of Hazyview itself offers a variety of restaurants, cultural entertainment and malls as well as a variety of activities.  The Shangaan Cultural Village which can be found on the R535 to Graskop offers visitors a unique Shangaan traditional experience.

From God's Window, spectacular views can be enjoyed into the far distance, numerous waterfalls can be admired in the surrounding area and the unique Bourke's Luck Potholes offer a true adventurous visit.  Activities such as horse riding, hot air ballooning, river rafting, hiking and mountain biking are amongst the most popular activities which Hazyview and its surrounding area has to offer.
