Introducing Amanzimtoti

The town of Amanzimtoti is situated south of Durban in KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa.  In 1828 the Zulu king Shaka drank the water of the Umbogintwini River and remarked “Kanti amanzi mtoti” which means "the water is fresh" and from this story the town owes its name. Amanzimtoti is a lively coastal resort, its beautiful beaches are lined with hotels and holiday apartments.

The most popular beach in Amanzimtoti extends for 3km north of the Manzimtoti river and offers safe bathing, picnic sites and a fine salt-water pool.
