The Rosenhof Country House is set just outside Oudtshoorn en route to the Cango Caves and many Ostrich Farms located in this area. The carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a glorious collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity. Oudtshoorn, which forms part of South Africa’s Garden Route, is blessed with a fine, dry climate and boasts an average of over 320 sunshine days per year. About 600mm of rain falls the whole year round peaking in spring and autumn while in the summer it can be delivered in the form of dramatic thundershowers.

The beautiful rose garden, which gave Rosenhof Country House its name, leads to lavishly decorated bedrooms, each one individually furnished with handpicked antiques. All rooms at the Rosenhof County House in Oudtshoorn provide air-conditioning, satellite television, telephone, mini bar and tea trays. The two Executive Suites each have a private patio, lounge and pool, with peaceful views of the Swartberg Mountain.

The picturesque Rosenhof Country House has a cosy pub and several luxurious lounges with fireplaces where visitors can relax and admire works from famous South African artists. The two executive suites have their own private swimming pools and are located 100m from the main house for extra seclusion. The Rosenhof Guest House offers conference facilities for the business traveller. Up to 30 people can be accommodated in a beautiful old wagon-house which has been converted specifically for this purpose.
