Sabie is a forestry town located on the banks of the Sabie River in South Africa's Mpumalanga province.  The town of Sabie started after HT Glynn and JC Ingle found gold in this area of South Africa. The Glynns-Lydenburg Gold Mining Company was established. Sabie is located 360 kilometres east of Johannesburg and is 64 kilometres west of the Kruger National Park.
