Oribi Gorge, KwaZulu-Natal, Durban’s South Coast The Oribi Gorge which is located 21 km inland from Port Shepstone is a scenic, thickly forested region with spectacular cliffs and waterfalls. This raverine carved by the Umzimkulwana River is a delight for nature lovers. The spectacular gorge is 24 km long, up to 5 km wide and 300 m deep. A scenic circular tour, walking trails as well as many nice picnic places are located along the Umzimkulwana River. Small animals such as bushbuck, duiker, samango monkey and leopard are home in these dense forests which consist of more than 500 different tree species.
