Situated on the water's edge of the Simon's Town yacht basin, the Simon's Town Quayside Hotel is a four star hotel and conference centre. The Quayside Waterfront in Simon's Town provides spectacular vistas over False Bay and the majestic Simon's Kloof mountains. Simon's Town is located a 40 minute drive from Cape Town's city centre towards Muizenberg and Fishhoek. Guests may take a leisurely stroll to the nearby Boulders Beach where over a thousand penguins live in the Penguin Colony. This Penguin Colony in Cape Town started by the penguins themselves. The Simon's Town Quayside Hotel & Conference Centre offers two conference centres: the Drakensberg Conference Facility which caters for groups of up to 60 delegates and boasting the most advanced facilities with the additional advantage of the Protea Conference Room as a breakaway room.
The smaller Outeniqua Conference Facility at the Simon's Town Quayside Hotel caters for up to 20 delegates. This upmarket and private venue is ideal for business discussions and think tanks. There is also a private lounge area for delegate use only.

Boat and Sea:
- Sea Kayaking - Great fun on various routes around False Bay (suitable for beginners). Trips are adapted to suit levels of fitness.
- Harbour Tour on "Spirit of Just Nuisance" Ferry - with informative and entertaining commentary - a special permit allows you to enter the naval harbour and view the ships including strikecraft and submarines (40 minutes). Charter the ferry for a sundowner cruise with on-board bar.
- Learn how to sail - Practical and theory lessons on the skills of sailing. Hosted by the False Bay Yacht Club (suitable for beginners).
- Whale watching - Southern Ocean Tours brings you a unique up close and personal experience. View whales and dolphins from up to 50m! Team building or specific outcome programs are very dynamic and specialized.
- A Boat Regatta - Teams design, build and market corrugated cardboard boats capable of holding a Captain and a First Mate. Each team introduces the boat with a name and marketing pitch before the race. The marketing pitch is just as much fun as the race. The Commodore of the event has full maritime authority.
- Navy combat and supply ship tours - tours of the SAS Drakensberg, SAS Outeniqua and the SAS Protea as well as navy strike craft and submarines can be arranged. (Exclusive to Quayside Conference delegates)
Villages and Beaches:
- Urban orienteering - Treasure hunts using cryptic clues and famous landmarks on the quaint twisted streets of Simon's Town and in the bay using kayaks. All activities are supervised by experts. An assessment of team interaction is done at the end of the competition.
- Mountain Bike Trails in the Cape Point Nature Reserve - Groups compete in various biking categories and are supervised by experts.
- Japanese kite fighting - By pulling and releasing the kite string, you can circle around your opponents' Japanese ROC kite and knock it out of the sky. The last kite flying wins!
- Drumming - with the African Drum Café
- Movie Making - Want to win that coveted Oscar? Try your hand at directing a variety of movies.
- The Amazing Race - Find that mystery destination using various modes of transport.

All tastes are catered for in a variety of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel offering a wide selection of culinary delights. Guests are welcome to enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner for two complemented by a bottle of the finest Cape wines.
