Rosenhof Country House Garden Route

The Rosenhof Country House is set just outside Oudtshoorn en route to the Cango Caves and many Ostrich Farms located in this area. The carefully renovated homestead (Circa 1852), with its yellowwood beams and ceilings and a glorious collection of antique furniture, exudes an aura of authenticity. Oudtshoorn, which forms part of South Africa’s Garden Route, is blessed with a fine, dry climate and boasts an average of over 320 sunshine days per year. About 600mm of rain falls the whole year round peaking in spring and autumn while in the summer it can be delivered in the form of dramatic thundershowers.

The beautiful rose garden, which gave Rosenhof Country House its name, leads to lavishly decorated bedrooms, each one individually furnished with handpicked antiques.
