The Mantis St Helena Hotel is located in the heart of Jamestown on the remote St. Helena Island.

Beautifully restored historic buildings are set alongside the recently built contemporary ones. Thirty luxurious bedrooms, just a few moments walk from the ocean, the swimming pool, the island's museum, Jacob’s Ladder which offers a view of the town, the public library, close to the shops, the park, bars and restaurants.

The St Helena Hotel is located adjacent to St James’ church which is the oldest Anglican church in the Southern Hemisphere and the hotel building is steeped in the history of the island and dates from the time where they were used as an officers’ barracks for the East India Company. St Helena Airport has been operational since the 14th October 2017 with ideal connections by SA Airlink.

Each of the rooms are adorned with modern photographs of the island, each room with an air-conditioning unit, a flat-screen TV, tea & coffee making facilities, an in-room safe designed to accommodate a laptop. A worktop / vanity-dresser with international plug array, USB charger and a mirror and a telephone.

Top-quality, branded guest amenities are provided. A generous luggage and storage space is available and the laundry service will ensure your clothes clean and ready. A room mini-bar is available on request. There is a main lounge area which you can enjoy a space to relax and read in.

The dinners are prepared daily in the 60-seater restaurant or on the 40-seater terrace, by the hotel’s Executive Chef, who served as the Executive Chef on the RMS for over 15 years, and now enjoys preparing food influenced by the islands cultural heritage, he strives to use local ingredients whenever possible.

The Jamestown hotel caters for vegetarians and those with special requirements, (please advise on booking). The hotel has an in-room dining service available should you prefer.
