Overview
The Jatinga Country Lodge is situated on the outskirts of the picturesque town of White River, South Africa, which is 38 km from the game rich Kruger National Park and a mere 4 km from the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport KMIA. The Jatinga Country Lodge Lodge is nestled in over 30 hectares of magnificent gardens.
The Jatinga Country Lolodge is located on the outskirts of White River, only 38 km from the Numbi entrance gate into the Kruger National Park and the private reserves of the Sabi Sands. This 5 star country retreat is also within easy driving distance to the many scenic attractions of the Panorama route like the Blyde River Canyon, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes and the historical mining town of Pilgrim's Rest.
Accommodation at the Jatinga Country Lodge
The Jatinga Lodge features 16 Superior rooms and four Luxury suites (one being the romantic Honeymoon suite). Each guest room at Jatinga has been tastefully furnished in different styles - Colonial, Victorian, Provencal, French Country, African Colonial and English Country.
Guests are offered luxurious comfort and secluded privacy while staying at Jatinga. The Orchard and Forest rooms form a little village on their own at Jatinga and, as their names suggest, some have a view over the citrus orchard while the others look into the pine forest.
Luxury Suites
An English Country garden theme is dominant in these two suites, the only two that boast dual open fire places that can be enjoyed in the lounge or the bedroom. These suites also have magnificent Cherry wood four poster beds and secluded outdoor showers. The Colonial suite creates the atmosphere of a bygone era with its checkered tiled bathroom floor and ball-and-claw bath. Sound systems are standard in the suites as is the sherry decanter.
Superior Rooms
The 16 Superior rooms at Jatinga are furnished in different styles, each one offering 5-star levels of comfort and luxury. Concrete baths dominate the bathrooms of the Provencal rooms while step up baths and hand made basins feature prominently in the French Country rooms. Outdoor showers are “added extras” in most of the rooms found at Jatinga.
Honeymoon Suite

The conference room at Jatinga is located a short distance away from the Lodge’s homestead and has fold-away doors along one wall opening onto a private garden with a view of our pecan orchard in the distance. The location and setting of the room creates a quiet and calm atmosphere that lends itself to serious business meetings. Depending on the seating configuration required, the room can comfortably seat up to 75 delegates.

Direction to the Jatinga Country Lodge from Johannesburg
Follow the N4 from Johannesburg to Nelspruit (approx. 320 km). As you come into Nelspruit turn left onto the R40 to White River/Hazyview. Travel along the R40 for approx. 14 km, turn right onto the Plaston Road. Travel for 9 km until you come to a turnoff to the left to White River, the R538. Turn left and travel for approx. 800 m then turn left onto Jatinga Road (dirt road). Travel up the road for 900 m to the Jatinga gate.

Concrete baths dominate the bathrooms of the Provencal rooms while step up baths and hand made basins feature prominently in the French Country rooms. Dinners are a special occasion at the Jatinga Country Lodge, preferably an occasion that begins with a pre dinner drink in the Lord Milner, followed by a visit to the wine cellar to select a bottle of hand-picked estate wine. The culinary team at the Jatinga Country Lodge has put together a varied and tempting menu with chefs specials changing daily, that will delight the most discerning pallet, and that is complimented by a variety of superb South African wines.
The elegant restaurant at the Jatinga Country House is a quiet room with uninterrupted views over the gardens which themselves offer secluded outdoor al fresco dining options. Tables are set up under a magnificent flowering Pride of India tree that is also home to a family of Olive Sunbirds, scrumptious cuisine and professional, personal service ensures that meals are a memorable one.
