The Greenfire Lodge Drakensberg, located within at National Heritage site, upon a one thousand hectare farm with stunning outstretched views. The mountain lodge positioned 1,800m above sea level offers an idyllic mountain getaway, with lush green summers and white snow-capped winters.
Accommodation and Facilities
Cosy log cabins, with a choice between a family cabin, double and twin rooms, with a hearty fireplace in each cabin. A full bar service in a cosy main lodge with a bar area, communal lounge and dining room with home prepared breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared daily. A surrounding patio overlooking the Royal Natal National Park and breathtaking Amphitheater to sit and enjoy the views of whilst you enjoy your meals.
Cape Vultures live in the overhanging cliffs and the hilly plains offer space for the Elands to roam and the many nesting birds live in the indigenous forests below. You may be fortunate enough to discover the San Rock art hidden within caves, rest beside the gushing waterfalls, hike through the deep valleys, and climb to the high peaks, or ride horses and mountain bikes through the stunning scenery surrounding you. Love fishing?
The fisherman's paradise is here! Sit beside the still waters of the well-stocked dam fly-fishing. As the sun sets, enjoy a dip in the lodges sparkling swimming pool.

Leaving from King Shaka International Airport in Durban
The journey will take approximately just under four hours being a total of 305km
Take the N2 from M65 (for 5.2km).
Take exit 194 from N3
Take the N3 to the R74. Take exit 194 from the N3 (212km)
Following the R74 to Greenfire Lodge Drakensberg it is 88km.
Follow signs to the Northern Natal Drakensberg / Royal Natal / Alpine Heath. From Alpine Heath resort a 5 km 4x4 track takes you up to arrive at the Lodge, if you are not travelling in a 4x4, you will need to be collected at the 'aha Alpine Heath Resort' where secure parking is provided –should you need this service, please pre-arrange this with our office.
