Accommodation at the lodge is limited to a small amount of guests with each of the various suites, cottages and studios featuring an individual decor.  Most of the hotel rooms at the luxurious Cybele Forest Lodge and Spa boutique hotel near Hazyview include sitting rooms, some private walled patios and yet another room provides a private sauna. All six suites have their own private swimming pools, two of these are heated and all the cottages and suites have log fireplaces with a plentiful supply of wood so that in winter you can drift off to the soothing sound of logs crackling in the fireplace. Very romantic.

Dining at the Cybele Forest Lodge and Health Spa

In Cybele's dining room is perhaps Cybele's most memorable achievements are revealed. The interior of the Lodge is warm, soft and mellow and the consistently high standard of cuisine has earned Cybele a reputation amongst both local and international travellers for some of the very finest food in the land. For dinner there are home-made soups, freshly baked bread, imaginative starters, a choice of elegant main courses served with the freshest of vegetables, and creative desserts.

All prepared by chefs with impeccable qualifications and served in the candlelit, silver laden dining room. For those who are serious about health and weight control, Cybele's executive chef has designed a selection of healthy and appetising menus, including ingredients from the Lodge's organic vegetable garden.

The Cybele Forest Lodge offers a superb health and beauty Spa, guests at this wonderful retreat are able to indulge in a full range of treatments. Highly experienced staff have designed a wide range of programmes and treatments to relax the body and enrich the soul.  Products used at this internationally known forest retreat are O.P.I. and Clarins.

On entering the Spa guests will find themselves in a completely private and peaceful zen courtyard, where lemon trees and mint bushes gently scent the air.  The Koi fish gliding effortlessly through the pond water emphasizes the tranquillity and calm of the Spa.  The treatment rooms have been designed with generous space in mind, and all the fittings and equipment are of the very finest quality. 

The Spa comprises of three treatment rooms, one of which is a double treatment room, a new hydrotherapy room, steam room, sauna and spacious showers – including two outside showers in private courtyards. An additional feature of the Spa is a large open-air Jacuzzi bath which has been fashioned out of natural materials and is enclosed in yet another private-walled courtyard.  All surrounded by the natural foliage of the forest.

The Cybele Forest Lodge & Spa is situated 420 km east of Johannesburg in the heart of Mpumalanga between White River and Hazyview.  It is 40km from the Phabeni Gate into the Kruger National Park and close to the top Private Game Reserves in the Sabi Sands including Londolozi, Mala Mala, Idube, Inyati, Savanna, Nottens, Leopard Hills, Dulini, Exeter, Ulusaba, Lion Sands, Tinga, Singita and Sabi Sabi.  Cybele is ideally situated for exploring the magnificent highlights of Mpumalanga, including the Mac Mac Falls, God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Blyde River Canyon and Pilgrim’s Rest.
