Lesedi Cultural Village
The Lesedi Cultural Village is a living monument to South Africa's rich ethnic heritage. In a bush setting just an hour from Johannesburg, the colourful traditions of Africa's aboriginal people (the Basotho, Ndebele, Pedi, Xhosa and Zulus) are preserved and practiced. The Lion Park
The Lion Park, which is situated north of Johannesburg, is home to some 100 lions and assorted other animals such as black leopards, cheetah, wild dogs and several species of antelope. The Lion Park was established in 1966 by Chipperfields Circus, with retired lions. It was bought by the present owners in 1999, and since then an active breeding programme has bolstered Lion numbers. At the Lion Park, visitors are allowed entry to the cub enclosure to handle the cute cats or feed the two giraffes by stepping up on to a platform to get nose-to-nose with them.

Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens
Against the backdrop of the magnificent Witpoortjie waterfall, The Walter Sisulu Botanical Garden which was previously called the Witwatersrand National Botanical Garden covers almost 300 hectares and consists of both landscaped and natural veld areas. The natural vegetation of the area is known as the "Rocky Highveld Grassland" and consists of a mosaic of grassland and savanna, with dense bush in kloofs and along streams.
