Tian Jiang’s fantastic performance at The Queen Victoria Hotel
Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, Cape Town / South Africa
Thanks to the generous courtesy of Newmark Hotels, South Africa, we had the unique opportunity to attend the exclusive Piano Concert by Tian Jiang on 11 April 2013. This extraordinary event took place at the five star Queen Victoria Hotel which is located at the famous Victoria and Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town. Making perfect use of this luxury hotel’s foyer including the first floor, spectators were moved by the outstanding performance provided by the Chinese pianist Tian Jiang.
Tian Jiang who had completed his studies at the Juilliard School which is located at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City, United States, has not lost sight of his heritage. This world acclaimed pianist and composer was the first Chinese pianist to have toured his homeland with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000, and then again when he visited the United States with the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in 2003.
