Prince Harry’s visit in Cape Town and Durban (December 2015)
Prince Harry took part in the Sentebale Charity Polo Tournament at the beginning of his Cape Town visit which took place at the exclusive Val de Vie Estate in Paarl, Cape Winelands. This was a charity event benefiting Sentebale which makes a great difference to the lives of vulnerable children in Lesotho.
During his visit in Durban, South Africa, Prince Harry played rugby tag rugby with children at the Sharks Rugby club. Prince Harry teased Smit, the 2007 World Cup winning hooker about South Africa’s defeat to Japan in the England 2015 competition.
Harry also visited the “Shark Tank” to learn about the British High Commission Rugby Exchange Programme and South African Rugby, which provides opportunities to players and coaches from disadvantaged backgrounds to experience playing this sport.
