The Kapama Private Game Reserve in South Africa has just opened the Kapama Southern Camp!!!! And the story goes like this…

Kapama Southern Camp, near Kruger National Park (South Africa)

Late in 2011, Kapama continued on its quest to expand the game reserve beyond its already vast expanse of pristine bushveld through the inclusion of a neighboring reserve in the south. The new property was a substantial reserve in its own right and was also home to Hongonyi Game Lodge, which it shared with generous populations of big game including rhino, buffalo, leopard and many others.

Immediately upon occupation, significant changes were made to the camp which included the addition of 15 new suites, a brand new lounge and dining area, pool and most of the ‘back of house’ facilities. The original 10 rooms, which include 4 family rooms, have remained largely unchanged with the addition of air-conitioning and continue to provide exceptional value. The suites offer a similar experience to the River Lodge suites. The camp opened its doors on the 19th of December, and was renamed Kapama Southern Camp.

Southern Camp at Kapama will offer the same superb safari experience which our guests have come to expect at Karula, River Lodge and Buffalo Camp, including two daily safaris and complimentary return Eastgate Airport Transfers.

Untamed African wildlife including cheetah, lions and leopards can be oberved at the Kapama Private Game Reserve

The Kapama Southern Camp is located in the newly acquired southern most section of Kapama Private Game Reserve previously known as Hongonyi.  The Kapama Southern Camp offers guests an affordable safari experience and guests enjoy basic luxury accommodation accompanied by warm hospitality and friendly service.
