Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa , which is located in the beautiful Cape Winelands in South Africa, is proud to announce the launch of its brand new, one of a kind, buffet-style restaurant, Le Verger.
Set beneath the towering Franschhoek Mountains, the Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa aims to cap the Franschhoek village’s already-existing reputation as the country’s gastronomic capital, with the opening of this unique five star dining establishment.

Situated outdoors within a charming orchard, surrounded by 20-year-old lemon, apple, pear and plum trees, Le Verger prides itself in being able to offer its guests something a little different. Glass-framed, conservatory-styled booths and wooden pergolas are dotted around the charming orchard with a larger glass, refectory presiding it all.

The restaurant is open for lunches and dinners and consists of a number of live chef stations (from a pastry section and a grill, to a tandoori oven, wok and a beautiful wood-fired baking oven) from which guests will be able to be served. Le Verger also has a fine foods deli section offering an array of delicious treats such as terrines, pates, breads, oils and the likes. Product is either made at the hotel itself or imported from France.

Saturdays at Le Franschhoek’s new restaurant will soon include a Le Verger fine foods market, where guests will be able to purchase produce from various farmers in the vicinity.

A Fresh new look for the Riverside Hotel in Durban North, South Africa


The Riverside Hotel, which is located in Durban North, has just completed the final stages of its upgrading project and is ready to show off in style.

Following the successful re-launch of the on-site restaurant, now known as the Riverside Café, earlier this year, as well as the various upgrades to the inside of the hotel last year, the Riverside Hotel has this month completed the last of the final touches to its all-new look. This includes new soft furnishings in all the rooms in the form of new duvets, curtains and throws as well as the re-tiling of the bathrooms to give the rooms a more modern and sophisticated feel.
The hotel’s conference centre has also had a makeover and now boasts brand new conference tables and chairs, plasma screens and updated art for the walls.

The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Camps Bay / Cape Town in South Africa is pleased to announce exciting enhancements to the hotel’s Conference and Banqueting facilities.

On the 29th May, work will begin on the enclosure of the Apostle View Deck and the Milkwood Terrace. Both these open areas will be enclosed in glass giving the hotel additional facilities for conferences, banquets, cocktail functions and special events. The Apostle View Deck will lend itself to special events such as banquets and weddings, for up to 60 people, together with cocktail functions for up to 100 people. The room will have a contemporary feel and décor in line with the existing hotel theme with glass doors, which will fold back, giving uninterrupted views of the stunning Twelve Apostle Mountain range and the Atlantic Sea Board Coastline to Camps Bay. The Milkwood Terrace, which is an extension of the Milkwood Conference Room level, will also become enclosed and will be an ideal venue for conference breaks, cocktail events and private dining experiences, with stunning views of the Atlantic ocean and the mountains. In addition, there will be a soft refurbishment of two of our existing conference rooms, to ensure the same standard throughout the Hotel.

It is anticipated there will be a two week period when the initial building work begins, where noise will occasionally be heard and there may be some light dust in the some of the public areas and passageways. However all guests will be accommodated in rooms well away from the building work. The working hours will be Monday to Friday 0900 to 1600 with expected completion by the end of July 2006.
