Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa, Franschhoek SOUTH AFRICA

Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa , which is located in the beautiful Cape Winelands in South Africa, is proud to announce the launch of its brand new, one of a kind, buffet-style restaurant, Le Verger.
Set beneath the towering Franschhoek Mountains, the Le Franschhoek Hotel & Spa aims to cap the Franschhoek village’s already-existing reputation as the country’s gastronomic capital, with the opening of this unique five star dining establishment.

Situated outdoors within a charming orchard, surrounded by 20-year-old lemon, apple, pear and plum trees, Le Verger prides itself in being able to offer its guests something a little different. Glass-framed, conservatory-styled booths and wooden pergolas are dotted around the charming orchard with a larger glass, refectory presiding it all.

The restaurant is open for lunches and dinners and consists of a number of live chef stations (from a pastry section and a grill, to a tandoori oven, wok and a beautiful wood-fired baking oven) from which guests will be able to be served. Le Verger also has a fine foods deli section offering an array of delicious treats such as terrines, pates, breads, oils and the likes. Product is either made at the hotel itself or imported from France.

Saturdays at Le Franschhoek’s new restaurant will soon include a Le Verger fine foods market, where guests will be able to purchase produce from various farmers in the vicinity.
