Fancourt is situated in the heart of the Garden Route, and close to the country’s largest remaining indigenous forest, the Tsitsikamma. The Garden Route is one of South Africa’s most enchanting areas with sheet cliffs plunging into the Indian Ocean, glittering white beaches and the majestic Outeniqua Mountains.

Accommodation in Fancourt’s 151 bedrooms is enjoyed in a combination of Olde Worlde charm and contemporary luxury, from superior rooms in the historic Manor House to the stately Studios and one and two bedroom Garden Suites.

With five restaurants, four halfway houses and three bars the estate offers a wide variety of culinary experiences of the highest quality. Other facilities include a Health Spa offering treatments including hydrotherapy, aromatherapy and reflexology, housing a fully equipped gym, Roman Bath and jacuzzi. Four tennis courts, volley ball, outdoor swimming pools , billiard room and supervised Kids Club further cater for the non golfer. Golf:
Four 18-hole, Gary Player designed, golf courses form part of the Estate.
The Montagu and Outeniqua parkland Golf courses offer well-manicured fairways and superb bent grass greens. These are for exclusive use by hotel guests and Estate Members. The third course The Links is the epitome of the Scottish Links concept and has played host to the Presidents’ Cup in 2003 , the Womens’ World Cup of Golf in 2005 and most recently the 2006 SAA Open. The newest of the courses Bramble Hill is a public course which is a blend of parkland and links features.

The Fancourt Golf Academy is a further world-class offering by Fancourt. Golf professionals are available for private tuition and golf enhancement coaching. The latest addition to the facility is the Taylormade High Performance Lab equipped with the first complete Motion Analysis Technology by Taylormade , outside of San Diego, US.
