Airport Transfers
The Birchwood Airport Hotel offers a complimentary hourly shuttle which is available for guests. The Birchwood Shuttle can be found outside terminal 2A, International arrivals at the designated Hotel "pick up" and "drop off" point situated outside the terminal buildings opposite the Airport Inter-Continental Hotel. The shuttles leave from the Johannesburg Airport for the Birchwood Hotel every 10 past the hour on the hour. All the hotels shuttle vehicles are clearly marked with the Birchwood logo.

From the Johannesburg International Arrival Terminal to Shuttle pick up:
As you exit the Terminal turn left. The Intercontinental Hotel will be on your right hand side across the drop off lanes. At the first pedestrian crossing you will see a sign "PUBLIC TRANSPORT". Continue going through the Car Hire Foyer. Upon exiting the building you will enter the shuttle pick up area were all hotel shuttles would be.
From Domestic Arrival Terminal to Shuttle pick up:
As you exit the terminal turn right and start walking towards the International arrival terminal. The airport parkade will be on your left hand side. Continue till you get a pedestrian crossing with a sign "PUBLIC TRANSPORT". Continue over the pedestrian crossing entering the Car Hire Foyer, when exiting the Foyer you will be at the shuttle pick up point were all hotel shuttles would be.
