Overview

Quad Biking Magoebaskloof

The guided quad biking adventure takes you on a specially made quad biking trail through the indigenous forests along the Groot Letaba River and over the mountain overlooking the scenic George’s Valley.

Discover a magical place in Magoebaskloof, Limpopo Province, where mountain meets river and the spirit of adventure is born.

Situated near Haenertsburg, between Polokwane and Tzaneen on the R528 (George's Valley), the adventure centre is an ideal stop over en-route to the Kruger Park or for a family holiday, a corporate team-building getaway or just a day out.

This particularly region of South Africa lies at the foot of the northern tip of the Drakensberg mountain range. The dramatic landscapes, afro-montane forests and beautiful grasslands makes it a very popular hiking and outdoors area.

Only three and a half hours from Gauteng and an hour and half from the Kruger Park makes this an ideal base from where to explore and experience the many attractions of the northern part of Limpopo.  It is a magical place with birding, hiking and colorful and striking gardens to visit, not only during Spring but also during the warm and sunny autumn months.

Haenertsburg lies between Polokwane and Tzaneen on the enchanting misty Limpopo escarpment.  Turn off the R71 60km from Polokwane and turn into the village which nestles under the granite massif of the Iron Crown Mountain, which is part of the Wolkberg range in the northern Drakensberg.  Here you will find a little piece of heaven.

Haenertsburg was born in the Gold Rush days and is now more than 120 years old but it has certainly not been left off the map. The village, named after Carl Ferdinand Haenert who hailed from Eisenach in Germany has seen its fair share of excitement and romance, including the Makgoba War and the Anglo Boer War. The township of Haenertsburg was proclaimed on September 13, 1887 and was measured out in Cape Feet with each erf being only 50 sq feet – enough space to put up a tent or a small shack.
