Kleinmond White Water Rafting Overview
Just outside of Kleinmond, and only one hour from Cape Town lies the Palmiet River. This gorgeous river is flanked by breathtaking mountains and lush green fynbos of a World Heritage Site. The river, which runs through the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, provides the perfect white water rafting experience during the rainy winter months.
The river offers a non-stop fast ride with experienced guides leading you down the rocky journey in either two or five-man inflatable boats. The white water rafting trip covers a length of 4km takes about two or three hours depending on the flow of the river and the size of the group.
In this short stretch, rafters will encounter ten fabulous rapids with no super-long, tiring times of paddling in between making it the perfect choice for those looking for a great adrenaline experience. The high-intensity river offers long rolling rapids that are not for the faint-hearted.
