The Chobe National Park in Botswana is only a 1¾ hour drive from Livingstone, Zambia. The Chobe National Park in Botswana is one of the greatest game reserves in Southern Africa and is home to the largest elephant population in the world.
Travelling to Chobe National Park includes an exciting crossing by boat of the Zambezi River at the convergence of four African countries: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. This safari starts with a morning game viewing cruise on the Chobe River with tea, coffee, drinks and light snacks served on board. Large flocks of birds, thunders of hippos and enormous crocodiles are in abundance. After disembarking, lunch is served at Chobe Safari Lodge which overlooks the Chobe River and the plains beyond. In the afternoon, open safari vehicles are used for a game drive into the park.
